I'm Alex Stenhouse and I'm a director working in London and the South West of England.
I predominately work in theatre, and also in film.
I am interested in creating bold artistic work filled with huge sincerity and humanity, that feels spontaneous and honest, that explore form and narrative structures, and tell stories that feel intimate and small, but resonate much wider.
I was recently the Assistant Director on Elegies for Angels, Punks and Raging Queens at the Union Theatre, Shida at the Vaults, Seussical at the Southwark Playhouse and My Dad's Gap Year at The Park Theatre
I am an associate director for Flux Theatre's FLUX GYM, a Script Reader for the Hampstead Theatre. I completed a ‘developing playwriting’ course at the National Theatre and was part of Shakepeare's Globe's 'Directing Studio'
Training: University of Exeter, National Youth Music Theatre (NYMT), Young Vic Directors Programme, Mono Box.
